About the Role
United Tractor Trailer School is looking for an experienced and dependable CDL Driving Instructor to join our team.
In this role, you'll work directly with students as they develop the skills needed to safely operate commercial vehicles and prepare for their CDL road tests. You'll provide hands-on instruction, demonstrate proper driving techniques, evaluate student progress, and help create a positive learning environment.
We're looking for someone who is patient, professional, safety-focused, and enjoys helping others learn.
Requirements
Provide hands-on CDL driving instruction to students
Teach safe commercial vehicle operation and driving techniques
Instruct students on vehicle inspections and basic controls
Teach backing, parking, and maneuvering techniques
Provide on-road driving instruction
Help students prepare for their CDL road tests
Demonstrate proper safety procedures and driving practices
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
Answer student questions and provide additional guidance when needed
Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment
Follow school policies and applicable safety requirements
Help ensure training vehicles and equipment are used safely
